Telangana Free Aids and Appliances Scheme 2026

* The Telangana Government provides free assistive aids and appliances to eligible Persons with Disabilities (PwDs) through the Telangana Online Beneficiary Management & Monitoring System (OBMMS). * The scheme is intended to support eligible persons with disabilities by providing assistive devices based on their disability type, age and other eligibility conditions. * Applications are submitted online through the official Telangana OBMMS portal.

Benefits Under The Scheme

* Eligible beneficiaries can receive assistive aids and appliances free of cost. * Annexure-B items include: * Tricycles. * Wheelchairs. * Crutches. * Hearing Aids. * Walking Sticks. * Smart Canes. * MCR Chappals. * Annexure-A registration is available for selected items including: * Battery Wheelchairs. * Mobile Business Battery Tricycles (Empower Cart). * Hybrid Wheelchair Attachment with Wheelchairs. * Laptops for Degree Students. * Laptops for Higher Education and Technical Education. * Tablets.

Eligibility Criteria

* Eligibility varies according to the type of assistive device and disability. * For tricycles, the applicant should generally have locomotor disability affecting the lower limbs with 60% or more disability and should be 18 years or above. * For wheelchairs, eligible categories include locomotor disability, intellectual disability, muscular dystrophy and spinal cord injury, with the applicable disability criteria. * For crutches, the applicant should generally have lower-limb locomotor disability with 40% or more disability and should be 10 years or above. * For hearing aids, the applicant should generally have hearing impairment with 51% or more disability and should be 5 years or above. * For walking sticks, the applicant should generally have visual impairment with 50% or more disability and should be 18 years or above. * Smart Canes are intended for eligible visually impaired students meeting the prescribed conditions. * MCR Chappals are provided for eligible leprosy-cured beneficiaries. * Applicants should check the latest official eligibility criteria before submitting an application.

Required Information

* Food Security Card Number or MeeSeva Income Certificate Number is required for online registration. * Applicants should provide the information and documents required by the OBMMS application form. * Eligibility and reservation provisions applicable to SC, ST and women beneficiaries should be followed where prescribed.
